By designing a bigger pestle that fits the curve of the mortar you get a larger grinding surface. And as you use your palm to rotate the pestle rather than pounding - it works faster and goes easier on you.
We’ve also added grooves to the pestle that help to capture spices and hold them in place - so no more chasing peppercorns across your worktop.
The Super Smash bowl measures a generous 12cm across, giving you plenty of space for spicing up family size dinners or creating pastes and salad dressings.
